Throughout the Autumn of 2025 they met occasionally to improvise together. Nothing was recorded and the actual musical material was never discussed or prepared in advance. These sessions were simply more about settling into the same frequency and shared space, a form of grounding and breathing. At the end of the year, shortly before they each relocated to different countries, Jaakko and Magdalena got together once more to record an album. Future Ruins by Zosia Hołubowska to be released on November 23, 2026

Zosia Hołubowska explores the sonic afterlives of nuclear testing Out November 23, 2026 on our website, Bandcamp and streaming platforms. Zosia Hołubowska’s sophomore album is an exploration of the Anthropocene, nuclear legacies, and the invisible forces that continue to shape our planet long after human intervention has ceased. Originally conceived as a nine-channel sound installation for Testing Grounds, Katrin Hornek’s exhibition at Secession Vienna in 2024, the work finds a new form as a recorded album, transforming an immersive spatial experience into a series of speculative sonic landscapes. Built from digital synthesis, field recordings, and voice, the album moves through desolate coastlines, abandoned infrastructures, and imagined landscapes marked by the passage of geological time. Its...

(MICRON) DRIFT – \unexCoder relased on Elektramusic

With (micron) drift, Argentine composer and computer artist \unexcoder explores the shifting boundaries between algorithmic composition, improvisation and electronic sound. Developed as a continuation of his audiovisual project \_hypercubx, the album investigates the minute mutations of a computational process, transforming abstract mathematical structures into evolving sonic forms.(Micron) drift is available on Elektramusic's Bandcamp shop.More info about (Micron) drift on our webstite. Rather than treating code as a fixed compositional tool, \unexcoder approaches the algorithm as a dynamic system, shaped by listening, live coding and improvisation. Data structures unfold into intricate sonic patterns, moving between apparent noise and emerging complexity. Each piece traces the behaviour of a process in constant transformation, revealing subtle deviations...

New Release – John C.S. Keston – Consonant Dissonance

On Consonant Dissonance, composer and transdisciplinary artist John C.S. Keston explores the shifting relationship between acoustic performance and real-time electronic transformation. Across a series of improvised works, the sound of a Kawai RX-3 grand piano is continuously sampled, reshaped, and reintroduced through a bespoke modular synthesizer, creating an evolving dialogue between gesture, resonance, and technology. This release is available on Elektramusic website and on our Bandcamp. Rather than processing the piano after the fact, Keston performs with the modular system as an active musical partner. Granular synthesis, looping, pitch shifting, reverse playback, analog filtering, delay, and reverberation become integral elements of the improvisation, expanding the instrument's expressive range while preserving the immediacy of live...

Natsuki Sugiura – Elsewhere released on Elektramusic

Elektramusic welcomes Elsewhere, a new electroacoustic release by Japanese composer and sound artist Natsuki Sugiura. Conceived as a series of sonic environments, Elsewhere explores places suspended between memory and imagination. Through field recordings, electronic textures, and carefully shaped acoustic materials, the album unfolds without narrative, inviting attentive listening and personal interpretation. Its sound world lingers around absence, distance, and traces of human presence, revealing landscapes that remain both intimate and elusive. Sugiura's practice moves across elctroacoustic composition, sound art, and immersive forms, with a particular interest in the relationships between sound, space, and perception. Rather than describing places, her works create conditions in which they gradually emerge through listening itself. Awarded the FUTURA Prize at...

Composer Chatori Shimizu presents its new mini album "O" on a video for Elektramusic. Chatori Shimizu (b. 1990) is a Dresden based composer and sound artist, who constructs his works for a wide range of mediums concerning the time identity in sound. Ranging from orchestral works to sound installations, all of his works “engage in repetitive patterns of sound motifs, which aims for the slightest change in the pattern to act as an accent” (New York Seikatsu), and is described as “a flared infotainment playground” (Mehrlicht Dresden).  You can watch this video here or on Elektramusic Youtube channel. ...
