Ukulele Revolution is Fabio Saba’s third album. His approach to the instrument—so different and far from the standard—continues to search for a new place for the ukulele, taking it where no one has dared to go before. And he does so with one constant question in mind: is it possible to play an ukulele revolution?

This album alternates original compositions by the artist with pieces by fellow composers who accepted the challenge of writing music for an unusual instrument. The influence of free improvisation is unmistakable—a practice that, for the artist, becomes a true cathartic ritual.

To these pieces is added a reinterpretation of one of the cycle’s melodies from Karlheinz Stockhausen’s Tierkreis: Aquarius.

Fabio Saba is an atypical ukulele player. Uses the instrument looking for unusual musical material, to demonstrate the grandeur of a very small instrument. He plays ukulele since 2008.
