Laberinto Project – Andrea Escobar & Rodrigo Evangelista

Flutes-Piano + Electronics and Visuals

In this release, “Laberinto Project” presents the work of five Argentine and Latin American composers with diverse sonic aesthetics for flutes, piano, and electronics, spanning both mixed and acoustic music. In close collaboration with Jorge Sad Levi (Argentina), Fernando Maglia (Argentina), Felipe De Almeida Ribeiro (Brazil), Facundo Llompart (Argentina), and Matías Sánchez (Argentina), from a chamber conception and through a close collaborative effort they risk a labyrinth of sonorities.

A duo based in Buenos Aires, formed by Andrea Escobar (flutes) and Rodrigo Evangelista (piano), transiting the soundscapes of flute, piano, and electronics, merging them from a chamber concept. Dedicated to promoting new music by Argentine and Latin American composers from various aesthetics within the realms of mixed and acoustic music, with works specially composed for the duo. Their emphasis is on experimenting with electronic and visual technologies and on collaborative work with each composer.
