Elsewhere is a collection of electroacoustic works exploring places that seem to exist somewhere between memory and imagination.

Rather than telling a clear story, each piece invites the listener to experience an unfamiliar landscape through sound.

The album reflects on absence, distance, traces of human presence, and spaces that feel both familiar and unknown.

Through field recordings, electronic textures, and carefully crafted sonic environments, the work encourages quiet listening and personal interpretation.

Elsewhere is not a destination, but a place that gradually emerges through the act of listening.

Natsuki Sugiura is a Japanese composer and sound artist.

She creates electroacoustic music and audiovisual works that explore the boundaries between memory, absence, space, and human perception.

Her work invites listeners to walk through worlds that exist only through sound.

She is particularly interested in sound installations, immersive experiences, and exhibition-based works that combine sound, space, and storytelling.

She received the FUTURA Prize at CCMC 2023 and completed her Master’s degree in Composition at Nagoya College of Music.
