The Austrian Clarinettist and dancer Teresa Doblinger (1992) is right now living in Portugal, following the intense contemporary dance training program of Performact.
Before she studied clarinet and contemporary music in Bern (Switzerland) with Ernesto Molinari, in Brussels (Belgium) with the ensemble Ictus and in Graz (Austria) with Klangforum Wien.
She gathered experience with Théatre Musical and premiered many pieces of contemporary composers, as well as she’s creating her own pieces and projects combining music and movement, one of them shown at Dampfzentrale Bern and Neu Now Festival in Amsterdam. She performed in numerous places all around Europe, amongst them the “Münchener Biennale”. Together with Frederik Neyrinck (composer, pianist) they were awarded the NASOM grant 2020/2021.
Next to those more experimental and interdisciplinary projects she played with numerous ensembles for contemporary music such as Schallfeld, Collegium Novum Zürich, Ensemble XX. Jahrhundert, etc.
Furthermore her musical understanding and ideas were inspired by working with composers and musicians such as Beat Furrer, Mark Andre, Georges Aperghis, Jennifer Walshe, Tom Pauwels and many more.
She is the main organiser of the Hörsturm-festival (website here) for contemporary music and performance in Ried im Innkreis (Austria).
