A distancia – ABC Trío

You can listen preview of this album on this page, on Bandcamp or go on our shop. Please also visit ABC trío website. a distancia For years we have been working on modes of collective construction, giving space to sound dialogues. Perhaps dialogue is one of our deepest socio-cultural debts. Dialogue with the diverse, implies being willing to listen to the other, to give them the possibility to present their arguments and always be open to enriching and even changing our ideas. The current covid-19 pandemic has prevented us from continuing our weekly pace of experimentation and face-to-face trials. This series of works, which we gather under the title "a distancia", were constructed telematically. Some...

Miro a Miró – Gonzalo Biffarella

You can listen preview of this album on this page, on Bandcamp or go to our shop. Miro a Miró When walking through the rooms of the Reina Sofía Art Center in Madrid, one comes across large spaces dedicated to the works of Joan Míró. In general, they are pieces with energetic gestures and full of colors. One of them caught my attention. It is an "untitled" work, dated 1973. Its measurements are: 130 x 195 cm. On the white canvas, there are only 13 black dots. People in front of the work seem to feel compelled to express their comments aloud. These range from metaphysical reflections alluding to the "essential" of the work,...

Luca Forcucci Bodyscape album

Bodyscape – Luca Forcucci

You can listen preview of this album on this page, on Bandcamp or go to our shop. Please also visit Luca Forcucci website. Bodyscape Bodyscape is inspired by the body of a dancer as a sonic source. The information is taken via biosensors and microphones, which record movements and events generated by the body. In this ecosystem, the dancer produces sounds, mainly inaudible, which are then amplified and sent back to the performance space, where the dancer interacts with them as biofeedback. The site-specificity of the work relates to the spatial considerations and resonances of the performance space. Field recordings were collected at the border of Botswana and South Africa. “L’épidemie virale en Afrique du Sud”,...

Retransmisión – Jorge Sad Levi

You can listen preview of this album on this page, on Bandcamp or go to our shop. Please also visit Jorge Sad Levi website. Retransmisión Retransmisión (2002/2005) is a ¨live  acousmatic melodrama¨ based on the broadcast of  ¨Pour finir avec le jugement de Dieu¨ (To have done with the judgment of God) by Antonin Artaud that was censored at the time of its première, in 1948. From the exploration of the instrumental gesture and the interaction with electroacoustic devices and video on stage, we’ve constructed the musical discourse interacting with the voice gestures of Artaud and the prophetic character of the text, with allusions to automatic wars and cloning techniques. It creates an atmosphere of...

Windserie I – VII – Sylvia Hinz

Please also visit her website, bandcamp, Youtube and Soundcloud. Sylvia Hinz - Recorder - Windserie For me, the sound of the recorder reflects very much breath, wind, nature, storm, water, ocean, mountains - strong and untamed aspects of (human) nature. I always aim to display this wonderful aspects, like in my work "windserie". My imagination goes alongside with these sounds, and i have always been searching and working on creating special, new and unique ones. Contemporary improvisation in this context means a different freedom and versatility to me, compared to performing contemporary music: to be able to create something right now, solo or with others, inwardly or for an audience, collectively or designed, ...
